Interiors are light and calm: pale oak floors, grey corner sofas on deep blue rugs, and tall windows hung with full-length curtains. Old Park Lane sits in the south-west corner of Mayfair, tucked behind the hotels of Park Lane. Hyde Park is just across Park Lane, Green Park is across Piccadilly, and Apsley House and Wellington Arch stand a few minutes away at Hyde Park Corner.

Shepherd Market, Mayfair's little village of lanes, pubs and small restaurants, is about five minutes east. Berkeley Square and Bond Street are within fifteen minutes on foot, Buckingham Palace is a walk across Green Park, and Harrods and the shops of Knightsbridge are a little under twenty minutes west.

Hyde Park Corner station, on the Piccadilly line, is about six minutes away, with direct trains to Heathrow, Knightsbridge and Covent Garden. Green Park station, for the Victoria and Jubilee lines as well, is about eight minutes east along Piccadilly.
