Mayfair is London at its most polished: Georgian terraces, the galleries of Cork Street, the tailors of Savile Row and the flagship stores of Bond Street, with the quiet of Mount Street and the Connaught a few doors away. Park Lane runs along its western edge, so Hyde Park is across the road rather than a walk away.

Marble Arch, Bond Street and Green Park stations put the Central, Jubilee, Elizabeth, Victoria and Piccadilly lines within ten minutes, with the City, Canary Wharf and Heathrow a straight run. Green Park and Buckingham Palace are a stroll south; the West End and Soho a few minutes east.
