On Praça Floriano, between the Theatro Municipal and the Lapa Arches
Centro is Rio de Janeiro's historic core and main business district, where colonial churches and early twentieth-century boulevards stand among the office towers. Praça Floriano, called Cinelândia after the cinemas that once lined it, is its grandest square, framed by the Theatro Municipal, the Biblioteca Nacional, the Museu Nacional de Belas Artes and the city council's Palácio Pedro Ernesto.
Cafés and lunch counters fill the surrounding streets through the working week, and Confeitaria Colombo, the belle époque tearoom on Rua Gonçalves Dias, is about ten minutes' walk. The Passeio Público gardens are just to the south, and beyond them Lapa, with its eighteenth-century aqueduct arches, the tiled Escadaria Selarón and its evening samba bars, is around ten minutes away. Praça XV and the Paço Imperial are a fifteen-minute walk to the north-east.
Cinelândia metro station, about two minutes away, and Carioca, about four, are served by Lines 1 and 2, with direct trains south to Botafogo, Copacabana and Ipanema. The VLT tram on Avenida Rio Branco runs north to Praça Mauá and the Museu do Amanhã, and Santos Dumont Airport, for domestic flights, is about a twenty-minute walk or a short taxi ride.

One month. Our luxury Rio de Janeiro apartments to rent come furnished and serviced, so a month-long project and a year-long posting move in the same way.
Nothing until your booking is confirmed in writing. Rent is then paid monthly in advance by bank transfer.
No guarantor, and no deposit held for a year. A refundable deposit covers the stay and is returned after check-out once the apartment has been inspected.
No twelve-month lease. Terms are agreed with the residence on your behalf, so the arrangement stays a formality and your time goes on choosing the apartment, not chasing the paperwork.
The stay runs as long as your plans do, extended a month at a time. Thirty days’ notice to your consultant, to extend or to leave.
One monthly rate carries the apartment, all utility bills, Wi-Fi, housekeeping and fresh linen and towels.
Your consultant meets you at the apartment, or arranges a keysafe for late arrivals. Check-in from 3pm.
