Ipanema is Rio de Janeiro's best-known neighbourhood, a grid of leafy streets between the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas and one of the most famous beaches in the world. The apartment is at its eastern end, half a block from Praça General Osório, where the Hippie Fair fills the square with crafts, art and food every Sunday.
Rua Visconde de Pirajá, Ipanema's main shopping street, is three minutes away, and Rua Farme de Amoedo, with its bars and cafés, five. The beach is about eight minutes on foot, and the Arpoador rock, where crowds gather to watch the sun set over the sea, about a quarter of an hour. Praça Nossa Senhora da Paz and the boutiques of Rua Garcia d'Ávila are a little further along, and Copacabana beach and its fort are under twenty minutes away.
General Osório station on metro Line 1 is six minutes from the door, with direct trains to Copacabana, Botafogo and the city centre, and Line 4 to Leblon and Barra da Tijuca. Santos Dumont Airport is around twenty-five minutes by car, and the international airport about forty-five.

One month. Our luxury Rio de Janeiro apartments to rent come furnished and serviced, so a month-long project and a year-long posting move in the same way.
Nothing until your booking is confirmed in writing. Rent is then paid monthly in advance by bank transfer.
No guarantor, and no deposit held for a year. A refundable deposit covers the stay and is returned after check-out once the apartment has been inspected.
No twelve-month lease. Terms are agreed with the residence on your behalf, so the arrangement stays a formality and your time goes on choosing the apartment, not chasing the paperwork.
The stay runs as long as your plans do, extended a month at a time. Thirty days’ notice to your consultant, to extend or to leave.
One monthly rate carries the apartment, all utility bills, Wi-Fi, housekeeping and fresh linen and towels.
Your consultant meets you at the apartment, or arranges a keysafe for late arrivals. Check-in from 3pm.
