This is the bottom of Chancery Lane, where London's legal quarter meets Fleet Street. The Royal Courts of Justice are two minutes away, Temple Church and the gardens of the Inner and Middle Temple three, and Lincoln's Inn and Lincoln's Inn Fields, the largest public square in London, about seven minutes north. Clifford's Inn, the old Inn of Chancery, stood just round the corner off Fleet Street.

The London School of Economics is six minutes' walk and King's College London's Strand campus about eight. Somerset House and the Courtauld Gallery are nine minutes away, Covent Garden about fifteen, and St Paul's Cathedral fourteen minutes east along Fleet Street and Ludgate Hill.

Chancery Lane station, on the Central line, and Temple, on the District and Circle lines, are both about seven minutes' walk. City Thameslink is nine minutes away for direct trains to St Pancras International and Gatwick, and Blackfriars a short walk beyond.
