Eighth Avenue at 50th Street sits where three neighbourhoods meet: the Broadway theatres to the south and east, the restaurant streets of Hell's Kitchen to the west and Midtown's offices a few blocks over. The 50th Street station, on the C and E lines, is on the corner, and Restaurant Row on West 46th Street is about six minutes' walk.

Carnegie Hall is nine minutes north-east, and Columbus Circle and the south-west corner of Central Park about eleven. Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall and Times Square are each around ten minutes away, and the Museum of Modern Art about eleven.
