West 48th Street runs through the heart of the Theatre District, and the block between Broadway and Eighth Avenue is lined with theatres: the Longacre is across the road, and the Ethel Barrymore and many more are within a few minutes' walk. Times Square is about seven minutes away, and Restaurant Row on West 46th Street about four.

The 49th Street station, on the N, Q, R and W lines, and the 50th Street station, on the 1 line, are each about three minutes' walk. Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall are about nine minutes east, Carnegie Hall eleven minutes north and Bryant Park thirteen minutes south.
