The Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas is the great lagoon at the heart of Rio's South Zone, ringed by a walking and cycling path, kiosks and sports clubs, with Ipanema and Leblon on its far side. The apartment is a block from its northern shore, on the long tree-lined street that gives the neighbourhood its name.
Parque Lage, with its mansion, gardens and trails up into the Tijuca forest, is ten minutes away, and the Jardim Botânico itself, the city's great botanical garden, about thirty-five minutes along the street. The Cobal do Humaitá and the bars of Largo dos Leões are about twenty minutes on foot, and there are bakeries, cafés and restaurants closer to home.
A car is not needed day to day: the Lagoa paths make it easy to move around on foot or by bike, and buses and ride-hailing connect the area to the beaches and the rest of the city. Botafogo metro station and the beaches of Ipanema and Leblon are about ten minutes by car, and Santos Dumont Airport around twenty.

One month. Our luxury Rio de Janeiro apartments to rent come furnished and serviced, so a month-long project and a year-long posting move in the same way.
Nothing until your booking is confirmed in writing. Rent is then paid monthly in advance by bank transfer.
No guarantor, and no deposit held for a year. A refundable deposit covers the stay and is returned after check-out once the apartment has been inspected.
No twelve-month lease. Terms are agreed with the residence on your behalf, so the arrangement stays a formality and your time goes on choosing the apartment, not chasing the paperwork.
The stay runs as long as your plans do, extended a month at a time. Thirty days’ notice to your consultant, to extend or to leave.
One monthly rate carries the apartment, all utility bills, Wi-Fi and fresh linen and towels. Housekeeping is on request.
Your consultant meets you at the apartment, or arranges a keysafe for late arrivals. Check-in from 3pm.
